Mike and Alyse went up to the Olympic Venue in Park City and got a small taste of what was up there. We tried to take the kids on Saturday but they had a special thing going on and we didn't want to pay their going price. So we tried again on Tuesday and were able to get on a tour of the Venue. For those of you who live there and haven't done this you need to take your kids and do it. It is very interesting and you might even have time to take a zipline or two. Perhaps you would like to make a run down the bobsled track. Yes you can do those things. It is a bit pricey but I am sure worth every penny. So much to do and so little time and money do to do it in.

This is the home to a few countries who train for winter skiing type activities. But you can take a tour that doesn't cost very much and they will show you the bottom of the slopes and then the top. You will see the bobsled run, the skeleton and the luge runs. You will stand up at the top of the 120 and 240 ski jumps. One interesting fact we learned is they start to train kids at age 4-6 for the ski jumping sports. Kids that young aren't afraid and when they tell them to jump the only question they ask is how far. So by the time kids are 9-11 they are jumping from the 120 and 240 hills. Amazing and must cost a fortune!

Makes you proud to be an American. It was a great day to be in Park City!
