Commuting through life

So as I have mentioned many times on here one of the things I don't like about working is the commuting. I try to not be one of those angry drives who yell at others. It's working listening to the Conference Talks though. I am much calmer when I drive now.

So I was driving to work today and I of course notice all of the other cars. Some people seem to be kind and let others merge in front of them. Some people speed through the traffic and you can see them weaving all the way down the road. Some people are content to just stay behind whoever is in front of them. Some people honk just as the light turns green and they are unhappy that the person isn't already through the intersection. There are people who use their signals and those who don't and you get to guess where they are going next. There are people who manage to drive like they are the only people on this planet driving.

So I was on my way to work the other day and I had a thought come to me that life is much like commuting. We come to this life to learn each day. We get in our life cars and drive up and down life learning streets. We see other people in their life cars trying to learn the lessons of life. We have some that go at break neck speeds and dash from side to side. There are other's who are just content to lets life move them along. I have friends who would drop anything they are doing and let you into their life so they can help you.

It was an interesting thought that came to me as I was headed to work. Maybe if I change my commute habits I will also change my life habits? It's a thought?

i like this. I hope I am not a reckless weaver but also not a content to sit behind whoever is in front of me.
