Vacation and Fun

Alyse and I ventured out for a weeks worth of play and headed towards Nauvoo and Iowa. Nauvoo for obvious reasons and Iowa to see Bruce and Midge. We had such a good time. We left Friday the 17th and headed up to Atlanta. Atlanta isn't that far of a drive but we didn't leave until almost noon. After a short stop to the grocery store to stock up on things to eat we were off.

One of Mike's favorite places to visit is Stripling's for their homemade beef jerky. I purchased 2 bags for him. They rode in the back seat our whole trip. We then made a beeline to Atlanta. We just so happen to find the need to stop at the outlet mall just a few miles from our hotel.  We had to check out those stores.  We found some great bargains and left happy campers.   But we had a two other things on our list to do list. Check out the temple (it's under construction but Alyse hadn't ever seen it before)and go to the Underground. Well the last proved to be a bad idea. We spent less then 15 mins there after we determined this wasn't for us. We first drove to the temple and this use to be our temple district before the Orlando temple was built.   We were able to snap some cool pictures of the temple.  The sun was just right.  This was surely a sign of great things to come.

We went back to the hotel room and prepared for the next day's drive that would take us to Paducah Kentucky.

While still in Georgia we came across another outlet mall  Just had to stop to see what great finds they had.  We found birthday gifts for two people in our family.   We also saw some amazing scenery while driving.

Tennessee soon welcomed us.  We stopped in Chattanooga on our way to Paducah.  We stopped by Ruby Falls and Lookout Mountain.  The leaves were turning the brilliant yellows, reds and oranges.

After spending time on Lookout Mountain we left wonderful Chattanooga and headed on to Paducah Kentucky.  2 days into our trip and seeing amazing things!  Stay tuned for more adventures!
